You know, I cannot help but think that the weekend was too short--every Sunday! This weekend was fruitful but I did not manage to have any 'me' time at all so I am quite bummed about that. But thats ok because I am in the process of delaying gratification, so that I may enjoy it more in the future.Spent some time to relax and recover by catching a movie! Hmm, what other entertainment are there in Singapore right? As you know, I am a comedy movie boy so obviously I had to see this right? Oh, of course it helps that Zac Efron is so pleasant looking.errrrrrrrrrrrrrr....hehe
This story was interesting because its about man, at 37 who felt that his life would have been better and different if he had done the things he did not. I really wonder why the character (Matthew Perry) took 20 years to reflect on his life. I think reflection should be done on a daily, if not, weekly basis so that we are constantly concious and aware of what we are doing in our lives. You do not want to be sooo busy and suddenly you are 20 years older and somehow you seem to have forgotten your dreams.
Anyway, this movie was so funny, I really like it! Ned (Zac's best friend in the movie) was so super hilarious that tickled everyone each time he appears in a scene. Surprisingly, I thought Zac brought the main character out really well. He is a good actor, thank God, no breaking out into a song in the middle of the movie. Haha.I thought the whole moral of the story is that no matter how life's situation sucked, there will always be a second chance. There is this tagline from the movie that I really like:
When you are young, every bad situation seems to feel like its the end of the world. Well, its not.
I have always thought that I would be the composed teenager but looking back, I most certainly was not. My teenage years were close to hell, so I am so glad that my adulthood is soooooooooooo much better.
I am loving life now, for the first time in a long time, I am crystal clear on what I want, why I want it.
Due to the hectic schedule too, I was too exhausted to pack my lunches resulting in Mom taking over everything. Thanks to my constant nagging about fried food and unhealthy food, Mom is slowly beginning to understand what I mean. So this week, her choices were not too bad.BIG thank you! Next week, its my turn to be the photographer and helper since partner will be having his PSG session instead.

If you love someone, shouldn't you be able to accept his/her shortcomings? why is separation or divorce even in the picture?
but, as i grew older, i realise that there are many reasons that could lead to that inevitable move. the lack of romance. the fading away of passion. marriage becomes a commitment and couples often forget about why the fall in love with each other in the first place.
let me first just share with you some of the definitions of romance, according to dictionary.com:
- a romantic spirit, sentiment, emotion, or desire.
- romantic character or quality.
- a romantic affair or experience; a love affair.
when it's use as a verb, romance is defined as:
- to invent or relate romances
- to think or talk romantically
- to court or woo romantically
as you can see above, romance is a feeling, an experience and an action. you can't feel it if you don't work on it. as cliched as it may sound, but it really does take two to tango.
Some people are sadly not aware of how their partner expresses their love - something that it is crucial to understand. some men are naturally romantic, affectionate and expressive. others will show their love by doing jobs that are required, calling everyday, being on time, spending time with their partner and listening to their problems.
a partner should think of those moments that are filled with happiness, love and understanding. this builds faith not only in ourselves, but also in our partner and reinforces the love we have for them. many times as relationships go forward, we tend to think of bad memories and this kills the romance in a relationship.
i suppose, fun and pleasure are an important part of romance - sharing private jokes, laughing at ridiculous situations or behaviour and enjoying 'little' things are all essential parts of keeping the romance alive.
couples can reignite romance by simply enjoying one another’s company and spending time together. they should enjoy each other’s company without thinking of other things that may rob them of their joy of being together. being present with their partner and enjoying the time they have together, is the greatest joy a couple can experience.

I was incredibly irritated by the fact that I had to stay for meeting that lasted until 4.30 pm and I was not in attire for open meeting. Due to that, I rushed home and after packing and ironing clothes, I only managed to leave home at about 6.05 pm. The team was supposed to meet me at 6.30 so I took a cab down to town which costs a lot! Gameplan was awesome and I must thank Fir who selflessly lend his shoes to one of Nurul's guest. It was so funny because he was the timer for the session and he was wearing no shoes for the entire first session. Haha! Thank you soo much!
Ended up buying sandwich from 7-11 simply because PS is full of fast food chains and it was almost impossible to find halal healthy food! Almost. Anyway, I got started to prepare for lunch for the next day as soon as I reached home which was about 11.30 pm. Decided to include some taste for salad and Mom actually took my idea to bake the chicken with honey and olive oil to put it into my salad! It worked! The salad tasted sooo good! I also added in some raisins.
I also had the time to experiment with some wholemeal bread. Using SP's method, the bread crumbs came out crunchy and I was so excited! Packed it all and I only finished cleaning at 1.00 am.
Dinner was so awesome and it was even lovelier sitting with Ender's team. There was so much food to choose from, even more than the last time. However each time I wanted to take a 'No' food, I recalled how hard I worked in the afternoon and stopped myself.
Food was soooooooooo great, company was soooooo fantastic, chit chat with the team was the best. My conversation with Heng M and Xavier about Superman and Batman was the most hilarious and it was seriously awesome team bonding.
Sushi, salmon, grilled chicken, carrots, mushrooms, fish, kang kong and some other vegetables. I even stayed away from the prawns, ice cream and I ate only the top part of the cakes.
Wow. I am getting stronger at resisting!
